Why I wrote this book THE WOLF OF WALLAN

Breaking the Silence

For a long time, I wasn’t sure I’d even write this book. To be honest, I wasn’t sure I could.

The Wolf of Wallan isn’t just a story—it’s my story. It’s the truth about what happened in my hometown of Wallan, Victoria.

On the surface, it was a quiet, friendly country town where everyone knew each other. The kind of place where kids could roam free and nothing bad ever happened—or so we thought.

But behind the smiles and neighbourly waves, something sinister was hiding. A predator. A man who used fear, manipulation, and grooming to prey on innocent children. He blended in so well that many didn’t see him for what he truly was. But I did. I lived it.

This book was painful to write. Every word dragged me back into memories I tried to bury. There were times I wanted to stop. But deep down, I knew I had to write it. Not just for myself—but for the child I once was. And for others who have been silenced by fear.

The Wolf of Wallan is about more than just what happened to me. It’s about survival. It’s about the courage it takes to speak out—even when your voice shakes. It’s about shining a light into the darkest corners so others can see they’re not alone.

I hope this book reaches the people who need it the most. I hope it gives strength to those still carrying their own hidden secrets. Because silence protects the wolf.

And I’m done being silent.
